Online Kids Word Search

Online Word SearchStill working on the site, spent the past week and a bit working on a cool solution to the online kids wordsearch games that I wanted. Pleased to say we now have interactive word search games featured on the site.

The games are made using ‘Flash’ it should be on most computers as default, if not it can be downloaded free from here. I still have a few bits to do including getting a timer in there and a scoreboard, so you can see how fast you completed the puzzle, but I’m pushing to get lots of them out there first.

I really like these, really enjoy testing them and I think they should be popular with children of all ages (and adults) :)

As always love to get your feedback, like them, hate them…   There are only sixteen live so far, but got plans for loads more which will be added soon. Hope you guys like the new ones?

Looking for a Childrens Book Writer

Scuba Diving Teddy BearThe progress with the site is still going well, just finished thirteen new wordsearch puzzles these new ones are slightly more simple and created for younger children, should get these all live this week.

Also been doing quite a bit of thinking the past week regarding the site and everything else in life and I’ve decided I’m going to illustrate a children’s book, only slight problem is that I’m not the best writer ever so I need to find a childrens book writer.

I’m not looking for an award winning genius, just need someone creative to work with to form a good book kids book, I’m thinking e-book for phones – iPad and an on-line version/s. If you are interested or know a kids book writer that may be interested please drop me an email, its a MUST on my to do list. I’ve got quite a few good ideas just not confident that I’m ‘that good’ to actually write a book myself.

Still got lots more pictures to add, seem to find more sketches every-time I tidy up anything, hopefully I will get to share these soon.

Funny Colouring Pages

As promised here are a few of the Funny Colouring pages that I wanted to feature more on the site, the first of these which I added last night features a funny looking Scuba Diving Teddy Bear sat in a boat getting ready to dive.

The second one which I added tonight is a Space Snail Coloring Printable this one has a snail with a rocket attached to it, and is flying through space. Quite a few sections to color in on this one and a few different styles, recommended for slightly older children.

The third is a new Canoeing Teddy Bear as mentioned before inspired by the recent trip in Scotland. This ones quite a simple one with limited sections to colour in.

The last addition to the site tonight is a new Car Colouring page featuring a mouse driving a sports car down a road, another simple kids coloring picture.

Mondays Update

Finished work a bit earlier today due to having worked till 9pm on Friday and working a few unplanned  hours on Saturday and Sunday, sat in the sun tonight chilling out when I got home and started drawing some new ideas that I wanted to feature on the site  got seven pretty good large version pencil sketches done today, which I really like.

While writing a recent post and looking with Freya at work this weekend at the the About Us page I wanted to get back to how I used to draw and think then, so the new ones are going to be more funny or just plain silly :)

Monday for me is now Canoeing night (recently packed in Snowboarding, I’m getting older and my crashes are bordering on youtube material) , been for the second time now with the Knottingley Canoe Club, a great set of guys who I first  met on a recent adventure in Scotland named ‘Scotland for the Brave‘ a four night camping trip on the west coast of Scotland just across from the Isle of Skye. On the last day they kindly clubbed together and kitted me out with a wet suit, gloves, shoes, a sea kayak and paddle and I went to sea.  I canoed when I was younger but that was a while back, the sun shined I got burned (weather was great), we came back in, and and we went out to play again, just loved it.

Some of the new drawing for the site which I drew today are themed on canoes and sailing and no doubt as things progress there will be more water sport printables.

New Space Colouring Printables

Been another productive and busy weekend, added four new space coloring printables today along with another bird word search game which Freya (my daughter and the reason this site started)  were completing while on an emergency upload job at my works today.

Also been looking through the sketches that I have left to add to the site, I know some will get binned as I don’t think they are that good, but there are new ones being created all the time.

Frey and I were drawing today at the Farm, we ended up drawing rocket powered snails in space, brought the sketch back today and will be inking it up Tuesday night

Wednesday Night

Been a great night for getting the new stuff up on the site, got loads added including a new selection of Word Search games and I’m happy to be drawing again :)

I have been looking through my old sketchbook tonight (number one) and have selected three Teddy Bear Coloring Pages that I have drawn up at full size, inked up the line work, scanned and got live. These new additions to the site are quite old now, but needed to get featured and I still think they look pretty cool.

Also added an old Car Coloring picture, featuring a Rabbit driving an open top car and a Gardener Coloring page that I totally forgot that I had created.

Still loving the new site platform, it’s so much quicker to get my work published and out to you guys. I’m going to be looking through all three sketchbooks tomorrow night and make a list of the next sketches that need doing – need to borrow some post-its from work ;)

Five new Kids Word Search games

Just added tonight five new word search puzzles, I seem to have lots of Bird ones for some reason, the new ones are:

Still two more bird ones to add including Birds of Prey and some Ducks. While upgrading the site yesterday I also found a secret stash of coloring printables which are done but are not featured yet, will be getting these added to the site soon as well.

Looking forward to getting some new drawings done in the next few days, its good to be drawing again. Hope you guys like the new additions to the site? As always comments welcome

New Bits n Bobs

Been really busy the past few weeks sorting out the new platform for the Coloring Site along with working out what to feature and what to leave out.

I have also added a couple of new sections including the Kids Word Search and Kids Maze Puzzle sections, totally re worked the navigation on the main section of the site tonight and (eek) I have removed the facebook fan page I created last year  that has 3000+ likes and instead am aiming for likes to the homepage instead (currenty on 28)

Big changes, but I’m sure it will be worth it. Love the fast way of updating the site, its creating loads of free time to create cool new stuff to feature, rather than getting slowed down trying to put it out there.

Tonight’s release (could be a theme going on there) we have two new Dot to dot additions these ones are slightly more complicated 48 and 49 dots to join up and feature teddy bears and also have PDF versions available.

Also got two new Word Search games added and loads more to come, hope you guys like the new additions, as always love to get feedback on my site

New Colouring Printables

June 30th, 2011

Fired up and back on with adding new printables to the new section of the site.

Sat in the sun earlier after work drawing some of the sketchbook thumbnail ideas, got six pencil sketches done to full size versions (not that happy with one of them) but will add to in on an A3 sheet and add the bits that didn’t fit in.

Managed to get the inked line work done on three of these and with the new super fandango platform they are now live.

The new additions are Skateboarding Snail, Scarecrow Coloring and a new slightly more complicated Tractor Coloring printable.

Good to be drawing again, hope you like the new additions, as always comments and feedback are welcome.

Kids Word Search

Added the new Kids Word Search section over the past few days, loving the new platform… much easier to get my new content on the site.

Also been working on some new sketches and completed a few today, still got loads of older ones that need releasing on my site. Finally it all seems to be coming together.

I knew at the beginning to make my own site with my own hand drawn images would be hard, there are so many poor sites that steal images from other sites  (including mine)…

A rocky road indeed, but I sleep well and I love drawing my ideas and I know from all the emails I have had and comments over the past years that you guys like my stuff (rambling…..)

So that’s where we are at, lots more stuff coming soon. Think it was good having a short break and stand back… but I’m not finished yet :)
